A proud Venezuelan chef and graduate of the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu in Lima, Peru, Miguel finished top of his class in 2015. His career began in one of Peru’s most celebrated Nikkei restaurants, where he spent three years mastering the art of Japanese-Peruvian fusion, an exotic culinary style known for its bold flavors and refined techniques.
Miguel later expanded his culinary expertise in Madrid, Spain, where he worked in three renowned restaurants over five years, perfecting his craft in modern Spanish cuisine, traditional Mediterranean dishes, and contemporary culinary innovation. His dedication led him to become Executive Chef of two restaurants, including “Asta,” a reinvented Spanish concept with more than 30 years of history.
His diverse gastronomic background allows him to fuse flavors from Latin American, Mediterranean, Nikkei, and Spanish traditions, creating unique signature dishes and delivering an unforgettable dining experience for every guest.
Manuel first arrived in Tampa Bay over 20 years ago to pursue engineering at the University of South Florida. After five successful years developing engineering projects for TECO Energy, his entrepreneurial spirit pushed him to build businesses rooted in community, culture, and innovation.
United by their love for food and the flavors they grew up with, Miguel and Manuel, cousins raised together in Venezuela, reunited to create a restaurant concept that celebrates their heritage and global culinary journey. Their vision and shared passion are the driving force behind Bravo Restaurant Group, delivering a dining experience where authentic flavors, innovative techniques, and warm hospitality come together.
At Ocho Trece, every dish tells a story.
Every flavor reflects a journey.
And every guest becomes part of our family.
